Roof Repair
If your roof is showing signs of damage, it can be challenging to know whether a roof repair or a roof replacement is the right choice. Here are some considerations to help you with your decision. Consulting a trusted roofing contractor is always the best option as they will know what to look for and how to accurately interpret any findings.
The Age of Your Roof
If your roof is showing signs of wear and aging or has been impacted by damage from a storm, it is a good idea to get a roofing expert to examine your roof and provide some information on the integrity of the roof system. With the contents of your home at stake, this is something to consider doing sooner, rather than later. Even if the aging signs are not severe, it can help you plan for the inevitable time when that roof must be replaced, rather than repaired. If you know when your current roof was installed, that can also help greatly in the decision process.
A good roofing company will give you an honest evaluation of the remaining roof life and help you with any repairs if appropriate. While it is common to gravitate toward roof repair to save cost upfront, at times clients get into a cycle of repeated roof repair work which can be cost prohibitive if the roof is threatening to fail in multiple areas.
If you plan to stay in your home for many years, then consider getting an estimate as a good planning strategy so that you can make a practical decision about protecting your home, your contents, and your family from water intrusion.

Roof Damage
Knowing the difference between aesthetic damage and structural damage is an important factor. Aesthetic damage may consist of worn roofing material or discoloration. It may also include moss or algae growth on or between the roofing materials. If any of these signs are visible, it is a good time for some roof maintenance and an assessment from a professional.
Structural damage is more of a concern. Curled or thermal cracked shingles, degranulated spots on asphalt shingles, cracked or broken tiles or missing or split wood shakes should be evaluated right away.
Leaky Roof
A leaky roof is obviously one of the most common reasons homeowners need roof repair. If there are water stains on your ceiling or interior walls, it is likely attributed to a leaky roof although other things such as HVAC condensate or plumbing leaks can be a factor. The source of the leak needs to be determined and the remainder of the roof needs to be inspected. A small leak today will eventually lead to larger problems down the road. Addressing those problems can save a lot of money in damage to the home and its contents as well as unnecessary costs. Finding the source of the roof leak can often be tricky, but a certified roofing contractor can help with the process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we offer financing?
We do offer a variety of options for financing and PACE funding.
Does the homeowner need to be home for an estimate?
For a roof replacement estimate, no one needs to be home as long as there is access to the roof from the backyard. The estimate can be emailed within 1-3 days. For a repair estimate, if there are no leaks, no one needs to be home and the estimate will be emailed within the week. If there are leaks, we will need access to the inside of the home to inspect where the leak is coming from.
Are we licensed with the state of California?
Yes we have a CSLB license and would be happy to share the license number so the homeowner can research and feel comfortable that they are choosing a qualified roofing contractor.
Do we pull permits?
We pull appropriate permits for all Reroof projects. We cover the cost and will coordinate all the needed inspections with the City/County. Roof repairs do not require a permit from the City/County in California
Do we carry Workers Compensation Insurance?
Yes we are fully covered and will be happy to send you our Certificate of Liability if requested.
