Journeyman Roofer – 2-3 Man Crew

Looking for Journeyman Roofing crews of 2-3. Most work is on residential homes in the Sacramento area. Should have experience in composition shingle installation, sheathing, dry-rot repair/and or carpentry work. Must be hard working, professional, and quality oriented. Local Jobs/very little travel outside of 30-45 minutes.

Hiring Bonus

$500-$1000 after the first 90 days per roofer. Bonuses based on experience. Crew leaders must have at least 5 years journey-level experience in residential roofing installation. Helpers or team members may have less.

Requirements:

Must be proficient in composition shingle installation, plywood sheathing, dry-rot experience.
Must have own tools, compressors, and truck or van. Prefer truck with ladder rack.
Crew leader must be able to speak/communicate in English effectively.
Must be quality oriented. Quality is more important than speed.
Crew leader Must have Driver’s License.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must get along well with fellow workers, office staff, production manager, supervisor.
No use of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana or other on jobsites.

Bonus Skills:

Experience with Singly Ply and built up roof systems, self-adhering 2 and 3 ply systems a plus.
Excellent/Good carpentry skills.
Repair experience with tile, wood shake and composition shingles.
Willing to work in light rain when needed.

Hourly Rate:

For Journeyman: $27-$35 depending on experience and qualifications and quality.
Helpers/Crews: $16-$32 depending on experience.
Piece Rate $30-$36 per square plus extras depending on quality.
Travel/Fuel pay if over 20 miles from the shop only.
